Light Up Downtown North Wilkesboro

NorthWilkesboroNCHPHistoric Downtown North Wilkesboro is proud to present the Annual Light Up Downtown Celebration to be held on Friday, November 22nd from 5:30pm – 9:00pm in Downtown North Wilkesboro. The theme for this year’s event is “It’s A Wonderful Life.”.

Santa can be found in the lobby of Wilkes Towers ready for photos with the little ones. Local community groups take part in in providing hay rides, live entertainment, food, crafts, kids activities and such.

Breakfast With Mrs. Claus in Beech Mountain, NC!

While Santa and his elves are busy making Christmas toys for all the little girls and boys, Mrs. Claus comes to Beech Mountain to have breakfast and spread Christmas cheer to all of the children of our community.

Come join us at Buckeye Recreation Center from 9am-11am as Mrs. Claus comes to read Christmas stories, visit, and take photos with the children. A light breakfast will be served free of charge, but donations are appreciated.

West Jefferson’s Hometown Christmas Kickoff & Tree Lighting!

West Jefferson’s Hometown Christmas includes a holiday celebration unlike any other beginning the day after Thanksgiving right up until Christmas Eve!

Come to historic downtown West Jefferson and enjoy our Festival of Trees at the Ashe Arts Center, participate in our handmade and home-grown Holiday Market at the Farmer’s Market and stroll the streets and galleries of our historic downtown area, all dressed up for the Christmas season.

To kick the holiday season off right, join us for the lighting of our Community Christmas Tree on November 23 when Santa & friends arrives in a an old-fashioned fire engine and hands out treats to all the children!

Don’t forget to choose and cut your own Christmas tree during an old-fashioned family outing at one of the many Choose and Cut Tree Farms right here in West Jefferson!

West Jefferson’s Tree Fest and Christmas Miniatures!

The Ashe County Arts Council celebrates the season with the annual holiday exhibit in the gallery of the Ashe Arts Center with beautifully decorated trees, handmade ornaments and miniature paintings.

Tree Fest exhibit will be on display starting Monday, November 21 and will continue through December 28.

The opening reception for the exhibit will be during the Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 3.

The Ashe Arts Center will be open Monday through Friday 9-4 and Saturday 10-4.
